A 40 plus year old
tradition
in Polk County, the Ramp Tramp Festival is held annually at the Camp
McCroy
4-H Camp in the Greasy Creek community. The festival includes a
meal
of fried ramps in eggs, white beans, cornbread, streaked meat, and
bluegrass
music. The Ramp Tramp Festival is a old fashion way to enjoy
nature
and meet with friends. The festival will be held Saturday, April

The Polk County Fair:
Established in 1970, the Polk County Fair is one of the last Free Fairs in the state on Tennessee. With no admission and free entertainment each night, the Polk County Fair offers a family a place to bring the kids, learn about rural life, and enjoy the fellowship of the citizens of Polk County. The fair offers musical entertainment, along with rides, exhibits, and displays from community organizations.
